1.   What certificates do I need before starting FinancialPro®?

Answer: You do not need any certificate or degree before starting FinancialPro®. If you major in Accounting – Finance – Banking in Vocational School or College or University, you may be exempt from some subjects. However you need to demonstrate your English is good enough for attending higher level module.

2.   How much time do I need to complete the course?

Answer: The short answer is that this depends on you. The FinancialPro® is designed to be flexible allowing learners to study at a pace that is right for them and that fits in with their other commitments. As a rough rule of thumb, you can expect to spend about 4 months on each level of the course.

For a school-leaver, this would probably mean taking one year. Many students opt to work during the day and study part time in the evenings. This helps you to enhance your skills as well as your communication skills with your tutors and friends.

You may temporarily pause your studying for some reasons, but do not leave it more than 3 years otherwhile you have to retake the courses.

3.   What do I study in each level?

Answer: At each level, the certification system will equip you with knowledge and skills that you can apply directly at work, you should not wait until the course ends to get skills, start it right now.

FinancialPro® I: At this level you will develop professional financial and accounting skills. Besides, you also are equipped with the knowledge of management and administrative system of the enterprises. You will be equipped with financial and accounting skills with the purchase book, sales book and ledger accounts.

FinancialPro® II: At this level you will perform accounting works that are more complex include building financial statements for businesses and partnerships. You′ll also get skills of cost management and building profit reports for enterprises.

FinancialPro® III: At this level you′ll get skills of building complex financial statements for limited liability companies, shareholding companies, you also get skills of management and handling complex business. You can choose different subjects close to your job requirements.

4.   How is an assessment implemented?

Answer: During the course, you will be assessed by one of two ways:

1: Test – The test is assessed and marked by lecturers of AFC Vietnam. The purpose of the test is to test your skills through practical situations.

2: Skill Test – Testing your skills will be conducted regularly. If you are working, you have to prove your job skills. List of skills and jobs is very important for you in seeking jobs and career enhancement.
